गडचिरोली : जिल्हयातील अहेरी उपविभागातील काही गावात ३१ ऑक्टोबर रोजी ६:४८ वाजताच्या सुमारास भूकंपाचे सौम्य धक्के जाणवले. महाराष्ट्रातील अहेरी आणि तेलंगणा मधील बेल्लमपल्ली, आदिलाबाद आदी भाग भूकंपाचा केंद्रबिंदू आहे. अहेरी उपविभागातील आष्टी, अहेरी, आलापल्ली, रेपनपल्ली, कमलापूर, जिमलगट्टा, गोविंदगाव,बोरी, राजाराम गावात भूकपांचे सौम्य धक्के जाणवले. चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्यातील गोंडपिंपरी तालुक्यातील १२ गावात धक्के जाणवले. तालुक्यातील घडोली, गोंडपिपरी शहरातील साई नगरी येथिल अनेकांना धक्के जानवले. यामुळे परिसरात भितीचे वातावरण निर्माण झाले आहे. घरातील नागरिक बाहेर आल्याची माहिती देण्यात आली. हवामान खात्याच्या सेस्मॉलॉजी विभागाने या भूकंपाची पुष्टी केली आहे. भूकंपाचा केंद्रबिंदू हा नागपूरपासून २५५ किलोमीटर अंतरावर होता. सुदैवाने कोणत्याही प्रकारची जीवित अथवा वित्त हानी झालेली नाही.

According to preliminary data, the quake was located at an intermediate depth of 77 km. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.3 as well.
