धर्मशाळेतही आज ढगफुटी झाल्यामुळे परिसरात भूस्खलन झाले. आज पहाटे राज्यातील मंडी जिल्ह्यात अचानक पूर आला, ज्यामुळे घरांमध्ये आणि दुकानांमध्ये पाणी शिरले, रहिवासी अडकले आणि रस्त्यावर उभ्या असलेल्या वाहनांचे नुकसान झाले. जिल्ह्यातील बाल्ह, सदर, थुनाग, मंडी आणि लमाथाच या ठिकाणी या घटनेचा परिणाम झाला. मुसळधार पावसामुळे कांगडा, कुल्लू आणि मंडी जिल्ह्यात शाळा बंद करण्यात आल्या आहेत.
India Meteorological Department भारतीय हवामान विभागाने (IMD) हिमाचल प्रदेशात आज कांगडा, चंबा, बिलासपूर, सिरमौर आणि मंडी (Kangra, Chamba, Bilaspur, Sirmaur, and Mandi)जिल्ह्यांतील एकाकी ठिकाणी मुसळधार पावसाचा अंदाज वर्तवला आहे.
दारूबंदी असलेल्या गुजरातमध्ये पुन्हा एकदा विषारी दारू नागरिकांच्या जीवावर उठली आहे. बोटाद आणि अहमदाबाद जिल्ह्यात विषारी दारू सेवन रविवार आणि सोमवार या दोन दिवसांत 24 जणांचा मृत्यू झाला, तर 40 जणांना हॉस्पिटलमध्ये उपचार सुरू आहेत. त्यापैकी अनेकांची प्रकृती गंभीर असल्याचे समजते. त्यामुळे मृतांची आकडेवारी वाढण्याची भीती व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
विषारी दारु सेवन केल्याने बोटाद जिल्ह्यातील रोजिद गावात सर्वाधिक 7 लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. तर 10 जण अत्यावस्थ आहेत. त्यांच्यावर जिल्हा हॉस्पिटलमध्ये उपचार सुरू आहेत. या शिवाय अलावा उंचडी, चंदरवा, आकरू आणि अनिवारी या गावांतही मृत्यूचे तांडव सुरूच आहे. विषारी दारूने दोन दिवसांत 15 जणांचा बळी घेतला आहे. धक्कादायक म्हणजे अनेकांची प्रकृती चिंताजनक असल्याने मृतांची संख्या वाढण्याची शक्यता पोलिसांनी वर्तवली आहे.
मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या उपस्थितीत मंत्रिमंडळ बैठक झाली. राज्यातील खरीप हंगाम, पाऊस -पाणी आणि पीकविमा याबाबत आढावा घेण्यात आला.
मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी आज राजभवन येथे झालेल्या समारंभात मुख्यमंत्रीपदाची शपथ घेतली. श्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी यावेळी उप मुख्यमंत्री पदाची शपथ घेतली. राज्यपाल श्री भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांनी मुख्यमंत्री व उपमुख्यमंत्री पदाची शपथ दिली. त्यानंतर हि मंत्रिमंडळ बैठक झाली.

एकीकडे खाद्यतेल आणि डाळींच्या वाढत्या किंमती तर दुसरीकडे शंभरीपार गेलेले इंधनाचे दर, यामध्ये सामान्य माणसाची अवस्था केविलवाणी होत असताना एक आनंदाची बातमी येण्याची शक्यता आहे. मोदी सरकार येत्या 17 तारखेला पेट्रोल आणि डिझेलला वस्तू आणि सेवा कर म्हणजे जीएसटीच्या कक्षेत आणण्याचा मोठा निर्णय घेण्याची शक्यता आहे. असं जर झालं तर देशातील पेट्रोलचे दर हे अर्ध्याने कमी होण्याची शक्यता आहे.

Address by the President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on the Occasion of Presentation of President’s Colour to Indian Naval Aviation

It is a matter of pride for me to stand amid all of you to present President’s Colour to Indian Naval Aviation today. It is indeed a momentous event in the history of naval aviation as it completes 68 glorious years in the service of the nation.
I would like to congratulate, all officers and sailors, past and present, for achieving this feat. The President’s Colour presented today is the recognition of exceptional service rendered to the Nation, in peace and war. Naval Aviation has an exceptional record of professional excellence and has discharged its responsibilities with honour and distinction. My best wishes to each and every member of the naval aviation fraternity.
Indian Naval Aviation has undertaken a steady journey over the past few decades. It began with the commissioning of the first Indian Naval Air Station, INS Garuda on 11 May 1953. Since then the aviation arm of the Navy has come a long way. Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant commissioned in 1961 gave power and pride to Indian Navy and played a crucial role during the liberation of Goa. We celebrated “Goa at 60” last year.
Naval Aviation had taken part in the wars of 1962 and 1965. INS Vikrant with its integral aircraft, played a crucial role in the 1971 War which will always remain etched in our memory. I am told that Naval Aviation played its role in the context of the 1999 Kargil conflict also. It has also maintained a vigilant watch in the Indian Ocean Region.
INS Viraat which was inducted in 1980s and the INS Vikramaditya commissioned in 2013 have added more power to our fleets on the seas. It is a matter of great pride for Indian Navy that the indigenously built aircraft carrier, the new Vikrant has started sea trials. It distinguishes the Indian Navy as being the only Navy in the region and one of the three navies of the world, for maintaining continuous carrier operations for nearly seven decades. It has an outstanding operational record.
The Naval Aviation has contributed through numerous Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations during which it has provided relief to fellow citizens like the recently conducted rescue operations off Mumbai during Cyclone Tauktae in May 2021. It has also provided crucial assistance to several neighbouring countries and nations in the Indian Ocean Region.
The Indian Navy has invested significant effort in meeting all regional commitments and furthering our diplomatic engagements with friends and partners in the Indo-Pacific. With missions like Operation ‘Samudra Setu’ and ‘Mission Sagar’, the Navy was a key instrument of India’s COVID outreach, delivering assistance and support to our maritime neighbours and partners in the Indian Ocean Region. The prompt and effective deployment of the Indian Navy in the time of crisis, has underscored India’s vision of being the ‘Preferred Security Partner’ and ‘First Responder’ in the Indian Ocean Region.
Besides securing our maritime boundaries, there is a special achievement of the Indian Navy which I would like to highlight. I am told that the Indian Navy has actively taken up indigenisation. This is well reflected in the Navy’s current and future acquisition plans, which are powered by indigenisation. In pursuance of the Government of India’s vision of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’, Indian Naval Aviation has also made steady progress in consonance with the Make in India drive. With resounding progress in aviation technology, naval aircraft today, are being installed with modern, state of the art indigenous, weapons, sensors and Data Link suites. The recent inductions of Advanced Light Helicopters as well as Dornier and Chetak aircrafts manufactured indigenously by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited highlight our march towards ‘Atma-nirbharta’ in defence sector.
Naval Aviation’s impressive flying statistics since its inception are truly reflective of the untiring efforts of a highly motivated team. Naval Aviation has been at the forefront of inducting women. I have been given to understand that of about 150 Air Traffic Control officers in Naval Aviation about 84 i.e. more than 50 per cent are women and out of strength of 400 Observers, 75 are women. I am also told that women pilots have also been inducted in the Naval Aviation. This is a healthy trend and must be encouraged.
On this special occasion, I pay homage to all those from the Naval Aviation who have laid down their lives in the service of the nation. We will always remain indebted to them and their families.
I once again congratulate all veterans and serving Naval Aviators for their untiring service to the nation. I urge all the men and women to continue their selfless and dedicated service. My best wishes to you for success in your future endeavours.

उत्तरप्रदेशचे माजी मुख्यमंत्री आणि भाजप ज्येष्ठ नेते मा. श्री. कल्याण सिंह यांच्या निधनाने एक समर्पित लोकनेता आपण गमावला आहे. भाजपाच्या सर्वांगीण प्रगतीमध्ये कल्याण सिंह यांचे फार मोठे योगदान होते. त्यांची उणीव या देशाला नेहमी जाणवत राहील.
कल्याण सिंग (जन्म: जानेवारी ५ इ.स. १९३२) हे भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे माजी नेते आणि राजस्थानचे माजी राज्यपाल होते. उत्तर प्रदेशचे माजी मुख्यमंत्री आहेत. त्यांनी जून १९९१ ते डिसेंबर १९९२ आणि सप्टेंबर १९९७ ते नोव्हेंबर १९९९ दरम्यान उत्तर प्रदेशचे मुख्यमंत्री म्हणून काम बघितले. ते इ.स. २००४ च्या लोकसभा निवडणुकीत उत्तर प्रदेश राज्यातील बुलंदशहर लोकसभा मतदारसंघातून तर इ.स. २००९ च्या लोकसभा निवडणुकीत उत्तर प्रदेश राज्यातील एटा लोकसभा मतदारसंघातून लोकसभेवर निवडून गेले.
Singh became a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh while still in school. He entered the Uttar Pradesh legislature as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Atrauli in 1967. He won nine more elections to that constituency as a member of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the Janata Party, the Rashtriya Kranti Party, and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Singh was appointed Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the first time in 1991, but resigned following the demolition of the Babri Masjid. He became Chief Minister for a second term in 1997, but was removed by his party in 1999, and left the BJP, forming his own party.
Singh re-entered the BJP in 2004, and was elected a Member of Parliament from Bulandshahar. He left the BJP for a second time in 2009, and successfully contested the 2009 Indian general election as an independent from Etah. He joined the BJP again in 2014, and was appointed Governor of Rajasthan. He served a five-year term, and re-entered active politics in 2019. In September 2019 he was brought to trial for criminal conspiracy to demolish the Babri Masjid. He was acquitted by a special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation in 2020. He passed away on 21st Aug 2021 at SGPGI Hospital in Lucknow.

देशातील कोरोना स्थितीबाबत सामान्य माणसाची हेतूतः दिशाभूल करण्याचा प्रयत्न काँग्रेस नेतृत्वाकडून सुरु आहे. अशा प्रयत्नांमुळे कोविड योद्ध्यांच्या मनोधैर्यावर विपरीत परिणाम होण्याची शक्यता आहे. त्यामुळे काँग्रेस नेतृत्वाने आपल्या वर्तनाबाबत आत्मपरीक्षण करावे , असा सल्ला भाजपाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष जे. पी. नड्डा यांनी काँग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी यांना दिला आहे. श्रीमती गांधी यांना पाठविलेल्या पत्रात श्री. नड्डा यांनी हा सल्ला दिला आहे. काँग्रेसकडून अलीकडेच कोरोना स्थिती हाताळणीबाबत मोदी सरकारवर टीका केली होती. या टीकेला उत्तर देण्यासाठी श्री. नड्डा यांनी श्रीमती गांधी यांना पत्र पाठविले आहे. या पत्रात श्री. नड्डा यांनी काँग्रेसकडून केल्या जाणाऱ्या टीकेचा समाचार घेतला आहे. तसेच काँग्रेस नेत्यांच्या दुटप्पीपणावरही प्रकाशझोत टाकला आहे. श्री. नड्डा यांनी या पत्रात म्हटले आहे की, आपला देश कोरोनाच्या दुसऱ्या लाटेचा मोठ्या धैर्याने सामना करतो आहे. आरोग्य व अन्य क्षेत्रातील कोविड योद्धे आपल्या जीवाची पर्वा न करता अखंडपणे या संकटाचा मुकाबला करीत आहेत. मात्र आपल्या पक्षाची काही जबाबदार मंडळी कोरोना स्थितीबाबत सामान्य जनतेची दिशाभूल होईल अशा पद्धतीची माहिती प्रसारीत करण्यात गुंग आहेत. या स्थितीचा राजकीय फायदा उठविण्याच्या हेतूनेच जनतेचीदिशाभूल करण्याचे प्रयत्न चालू आहेत, याचा मला मनस्वी खेद वाटतो आहे. या प्रयत्नांत आपल्या पक्षाची सत्ता असलेल्या काही राज्यांचे मुख्यमंत्रीही सहभागी होत आहेत हे मोठे दुर्दैव आहे. त्याचवेळी आपल्या पक्षाचे काही नेते, कार्यकर्ते राजकीय मतभेद बाजूला ठेवून कोरोना विरुद्धच्या लढाईत सरकारला साथ देत आहेत, हे मला आवर्जुन नमूद करावेसे वाटते. लसीकरणाबाबत काँग्रेस कार्यकारिणीने केलेल्या टीकेचा उल्लेख करून श्री. नड्डा यांनी या पत्रात म्हटले आहे की, जगातील सर्वात मोठी लसीकरण मोहीम भारतात चालू आहे. प्रगत पाश्चिमात्य देशांपेक्षा आपल्या लसीकरणाचा वेग अधिक आहे. आपल्या देशाच्या लसीकरण धोरणाची अनेक राष्ट्रांनी प्रशंसा केली आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वी आपल्याच पक्षाच्या ज्येष्ठ नेत्यांनी लसीच्या खरेदीचे अधिकार राज्यांनाही देण्यात यावेत अशी मागणी केली होती. आपल्या पक्षाचे नेते राहुल गांधी यांनी अलीकडेच लॉकडाऊनची मागणी केली आहे. मात्र गतवर्षी मात्र राहुल गांधींनी लॉकडाऊनला प्रखर विरोध केला होता. अशा कठीण प्रसंगात तरी आपल्या पक्षाने भूमिकेत सातत्य ठेवावे, एवढीच अपेक्षा आहे, असेही श्री. नड्डा यांनी या पत्रात नमूद केले आहे.
Project to fulfil long awaited need of the local populace
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari dedicated to Nation via video conference mode a one-kilometre long Road-Over-Bridge across Railway Level Crossing on NH 45-A at Arumparthapuram, Puducherry today. The Road-Over-Bridge worth Rs 35 crore will fulfil long awaited need of Puducherry, especially Villianur, Ariyur, Kandamangalam, Manaveli, Gorimedu, Arovil and Ariyankuppam areas. The event was attended by the Lt. Governor of the UT of Puducherry Dr. Kiran Bedi, Chief Minister Shri V Narayanasamy and Union MoS-RTH Gen (Retd) Dr V K Singh, Ministers from the UT, Members of Parliaments, MLAs and senior officers from the Centre and the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Gadkari said, the project is envisaged to bring relief to public from traffic jam resulting in saving of time and fuel, safe commutation, reduction in pollution, closure of level crossing, and unhindered passage of railway traffic. He said, four-laning of NH-45 shall provide unhindered connectivity of Puducherry with Karaikal port as well as ECR road which is leading upto Kanyakumari. This will also give impetus to the agriculture and fishing. He said, Rs 70 crore has been spent on NH construction during the last six years in the UT of Puducherry. He informed about the ongoing works in an aggregate length of 287 km for an amount of about Rs 11,000 crore for Tamilnadu - Puducherry Connectivity. These include the Mahabalipuram to Mugaiyur section of NH-332 A, Mugaiyur to Marakkanam Section of NH -332 A, Viluppuram to Puducherry Section of NH -45A, Puducherry to Poondiyankuppam section of NH -45A, Poondiyankuppam to Sattanathapuram section of NH-45A, and Sattanathapuram to Nagapattinam section of NH-45A. MoS-RTH Gen (Retd) Dr V K Singh said, the Ministry is trying to provide full connectivity of Pudduchery with Tamil Nadu and other regions of the country. The Minister informed that work on strengthening of eight km long road from Madagadipet state border to Ariyur Village at an expenditure of Rs 9 crore is likely to complete by the coming December. He further informed that DPR preparation is in progress for Marakkanam - Koonimedu Section of NH 332 A & Pudhucherry Bypass, construction of Grade separator at Rajiv Gandhi Square, and construction of Grade separator at Indira Gandhi Square, at a tentative cost of Rs 1354 crore. The Minister said, CRF works worth about Rs 47 crore have been sanctioned in the UT of Puducherry. Additional proposal for Rs 15 crore may be approved if submitted by the UT Government, he added. Lt. Governor of the UT of Puducherry Dr Kiran Bedi complemented the central government for fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the UT. She cautioned against the cost over-run of delayed projects, as it causes further delay. She proposed conducting refresher courses for road construction engineers, including PWD officers. Puducherry Chief Minister Shri V Narayanasamy and Minister for Public Works Shri A. Namassivayam also addressed the event. x

उल्लेखनीय है कि मध्य भारत में वेकोलि द्वारा खनन-संचालन करने के अपने लाभ हैं. इससे मध्य, पश्चिम और दक्षिण भारत के उपभोक्ताओं को सस्ता कोयला मिलेगा, क्योंकि देश के पूर्वी भाग में स्थित सीआईएल की कोयला कम्पनियों की तुलना में उन्हें रेलवे-भाड़ा कम लगेगा. स्थान विशेष का लाभ और उत्पादन में लगातार वृद्धि के साथ वेकोलि ने प्रदेश विद्युत कम्पनियों, एनटीपीसी तथा अन्य स्वतंत्र बिजली-निर्माताओं को 20-25 मिलियन टन कोयला ऑफर किया है, जिससे वे अन्यत्र स्थित कोयला कम्पनी की जगह वेकोलि से कोयला ले सकेंगे. यह मात्रा वेकोलि से वर्तमान लिंकेज मात्रा के अतिरिक्त होगी.
पिछले दो दिनों में वेकोलि तथा महाराष्ट्र, मध्यप्रदेश, कर्नाटक, गुजरात राज्य की प्रदेश विद्युत कम्पनियों एवं एनटीपीसी एवं स्वतंत्र बिजली निर्माताओं के साथ हुई कई बैठकों के दौरान वर्तमान लिंकेज के सभी पैरामीटर्स तथा भविष्य में अदला-बदली एवं बिजली कम्पनियों को होने वाले वित्तीय लाभ पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गयी. कम्पनी द्वारा अदला-बदली की प्रक्रिया को शीघ्र पूरा करने के प्रयत्न किये जा रहे हैं, ताकि वेकोलि कोयले की इस अतिरिक्त मात्रा की आपूर्ति अक्टूबर, 2020 से शुरू कर सके. उनकी जरूरतों के अनुसार, विभिन्न विद्युत संयंत्रों को ऑफर की गयी कोयले की अदला-बदली की यह अतिरिक्त मात्रा 3-6 मिलियन टन के बीच होगी. और अधिक कोयले की उपलब्धता के आलोक में, भविष्य में यह मात्रा और बढाई जायेगी.
2013-14 में वेकोलि का उत्पादन-स्तर घट कर 39 मिलियन टन तक आ गया था. सो, विद्युत संयंत्र के उपभोक्ताओं के पास कोल इंडिया की दूसरी अनुषंगी कम्पनियों; एसईसीएल, एमसीएल तथा एससीसीएल से भी कोयला लेने के अलावा कोई दूसरा विकल्प नहीं था. लम्बी दूरी होने के कारण, उपभोक्ताओं को अधिक रेल-भाड़ा चुकाना पड़ता था. इसलिए, कोयले की लैंडेड कीमत उन्हें महंगी पडती थी. वेकोलि ने पिछले छह वर्षों में 20 नयी परियोजनाएं शुरू कीं, जिनसे 2019-20 के दौरान 36 मिलियन टन कोयला-उत्पादन हुआ. इन छह वर्षों के दौरान, कोयले का भंडार समाप्त होते जाने की वज़ह से उत्पादन में आई 22 मिलियन टन की कमी के बावजूद कम्पनी ने 2019-20 में करीब 58 मिलियन टन कोयला-उत्पादन किया. वेकोलि ने 20 और नयी खदानें खोलने की तैयारी के साथ 2023-24 तक 75 मिलियन टन और 2026-27 तक 100 मिलियन टन कोयला-उत्पादन की योजना बनायी है. कोयला-उत्पादन में सतत वृद्धि के साथ, अपने निकटवर्ती उपभोक्ताओं को लैंडेड चीपर कीमत पर आपूर्ति के लिए वेकोलि के पास अब पर्याप्त कोयला उपलब्ध है.

WCL Offers Cheaper Coal to Power Gencos
In a bid to help power gencos to reduce their generation cost, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) has offered substantial additional quantity of coal to different power gencos of central , west & south india at a cheaper landed price. This will not only help Gencos to minimise their cost to reduce power tariff but will also be a factor to cut down import of thermal coal in the interest of the nation.
WCL has the advantage of having its mining operation in central india. This helps consumers of Central, West & South India to get cheaper landed coal due to advantage in lesser Railway freight in comparison to other Coal Companies of CIL located in Eastern part of the country. With locational advantage & phenomenal growth in production, WCL has offered 20-25 Million Tonnes of coal to State Gencos, NTPC & other Independent Power Producers (IPPs) by swapping their linkage from other Coal Companies. This will be in addition to their existing linkage quantity with WCL.
in a series of detailed discussion during last two days with WCL & State Gencos of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat followed by NTPC & IPPs, all parameters of existing linkage & future swapping has been discussed along with financial benefit to Gencos. Efforts will be made to complete the swapping procedure at the earliest so that WCL may start dispatching the additional quantity by Oct'20. The additional quantity offered for swapping ranges from 3-6 Million Tonnes to different Gencos depending on their requirement. The quantity will further increase in future subject to availability of more surplus coal.
Coal production in WCL went down to a level of 39 Million Tonnes during 2013-14. Power Consumers had no option, but to take coal from other Subsidiaries of CIL viz. SECL, MCL & also from SCCL. Due to larger distance, consumers had to pay more on Railway freight making landed price of coal higher. However, WCL opened 20 projects in last 6 years which contributed 36 Million Tonnes production during 2019-20. WCL produced about about 58 Million Tonnes of coal during 2019-20 even after losing 22 Million Tonnes of production during last 6 years due to exhaustion of reserves. WCL has now planned to open further 20 projects to take the production level to 75 Million Tonnes by 2023-24 & 100 Million Tonnes by 2026-27. With substantial growth in coal production, WCL has now sufficient coal to offer to its nearby consumers at a cheaper landed price.

स्वातंत्र्यदिन 2020 निमित्त एकूण 926 पोलिस कर्मचाऱ्यांना पदके प्रदान करण्यात आली आहेत. 215 पोलिस कर्मचार्यांना शौर्य (पीएमजी) पोलिस पदके देऊन गौरवण्यात आले. अतुलनीय सेवेसाठी 80 पोलिस कर्मचार्यांना राष्ट्रपतींचे पोलिस पदक आणि गुणवंत सेवेसाठी 631 पोलीस कर्मचाऱ्यांना पोलिस पदक प्रदान करण्यात आले.
215 शौर्य पुरस्कारांपैकी बहुतांश 123 कर्मचाऱ्यांना जम्मू-काश्मीरमधील धाडसी कारवाईसाठी, 29 पोलिसांना नक्षलग्रस्त भागात केलेल्या कारवाईबद्दल आणि 8 कर्मचाऱ्यांना ईशान्य प्रदेशातील कारवाईबद्दल पुरस्कार देऊन गौरवण्यात आले. शौर्य पुरस्कार प्राप्त झालेल्या कर्मचार्यांमध्ये 55 जण सीआरपीएफचे आहेत, 81 जण जम्मू-काश्मीर पोलिसांपैकी आहेत, 23 जण उत्तर प्रदेशचे, 16 जण दिल्ली पोलिसांपैकी आहेत, 14 जण महाराष्ट्रातील आणि 12 जण झारखंडचे आहेत तर उर्वरित इतर राज्ये / केंद्रशासित प्रदेश आणि केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पोलिस दलातील आहेत.

A total of 926 Police personnel have been awarded Medals on the occasion of Independence Day, 2020. Police Medals for Gallantry (PMG) have been awarded to 215 police personnel for their conspicuous gallant action. President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service has been awarded to 80 police personnel and Police Medal for Meritorious Service to 631 police personnel.
Among the majority of the 215 Gallantry Awards, 123 personnel are being awarded for their gallant action in Jammu & Kashmir, 29 personnel for their gallant action in Left Wing extremism affected areas and 8 personnel for their gallant action in North-East Region. Among the personnel receiving Gallantry Awards, 55 are from CRPF, 81 are from J&K police, 23 are from Uttar Pradesh and 16 are from Delhi Police, 14 are from Maharashtra and 12 are from Jharkhand and the remaining from the other States/UTs and Central Armed Police Forces.

स्वतंत्रता दिवस, 2020 के अवसर पर कुल 926 पुलिसकर्मियों को पदक से सम्मानित किया गया है। 215 पुलिसकर्मियों को उनके विशिष्ट वीरतापूर्ण कार्य के लिए वीरता के पुलिस पदक (पीएमजी) से सम्मानित किया गया है। विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति के पुलिस पदक से 80 पुलिसकर्मियों को और सराहनीय सेवा के लिए 631 पुलिसकर्मियों को पुलिस पदक से सम्मानित किया गया है।
215 वीरता पुरस्कारों में से 123 कर्मियों को जम्मू-कश्मीर में उनके वीरतापूर्ण कार्य के लिए, 29 कर्मियों को वामपंथी उग्रवाद प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में उनके वीरतापूर्ण कार्य के लिए तथा 8 कर्मियों को पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र में उनके वीरतापूर्ण कार्य के लिए सम्मानित किया जा रहा है। वीरता पुरस्कार प्राप्त करने वाले कर्मियों में 55 सीआरपीएफ के हैं, 81 जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के, 23 उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस के और 16 दिल्ली पुलिस के, 14 महाराष्ट्र पुलिस और 12 झारखंड पुलिस तथा शेष अन्य राज्यों/केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों और केन्द्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों के हैं।
