We are happy to announce that Baba's (Dr. prakash Amte) health has improved after undergoing cancer treatment at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune for the last two and a half months. He had received 5 Chemotherapies so far, which were beneficial for his recovery. He suffered a fractured wrist after he collapsed in the room while receiving chemotherapy. The plaster was applied on the wrist. The plaster has been removed as wound is recovered over a period of one and a half month. Yesterday the doctors called for the follow up at the hospital. As there is a satisfactory improvement, the doctor has given permission to shift to Nagpur today.
The intervening few days were very painful for him and for us too.
With 2 months of continuous fever and pneumonia he lost 9 kgs of weight. I pray to nature that no one should get such a terrible disease like cancer. With the tireless efforts of the doctors at DMH, the caring service of the nurses and staff and the best wishes from all of you has helped Baba to recover well. The doctor advised that crowd should be avoided at present to avoid any risk of infection. In the next few days, with the doctor's permission, Baba will be able to meet everyone.
We all Amte family members are very thankful to you.
Many people supported us in various ways during our 75 days stay in Pune. We hope your kind and courteous love will always be with us.
